OUR BLOOD – A MYSTERIOUS FLUID (SECRETS OF BLOOD)

How could we possibly know all the secrets of blood, not having had a part in its formation? But to Him who made it, blood is no mystery. He, the caring God and Father who knows what is best, strictly prohibited the consumption of blood to the survivors of the great Flood. Eventually, this command was incorporated into the code of law of God’s chosen people. Later still, the governing body of the early Christian Church in the apostle Paul’s time chose not to cancel this law, but restated it as being valid and binding upon their members. The law regarding the abstinence from blood has remained valid and applicable for the entire Christian era right down to our own time. Sexual morality is another divine commandment laid down in the Bible and those who respect it are assured of greater protection from AIDS.

If we look closely at these laws, we should find that they are beneficial to our health, whether we realise this or not. The obedient observation of the divine commandments can act only for the protection and good of the individual. The person who refuses to take blood in any form into his body, whether for the sake of his obedience to God’s command or for reasons of health, will receive an increasing amount of support and recognition as time goes on and research progresses, confirming the validity of his conviction.
